DALLAS (LAWFUEL) – The Dallas-based law firm Cowles & Thompson, P.C., is pleased to announce that David A. Johnson and Michael Northrup have been named shareholders.

Mr. Johnson is a shareholder in the Tort and Insurance Litigation and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups of Cowles & Thompson. He concentrates his practice on product liability defense, premises liability litigation, labor and employment litigation, and commercial and complex business litigation.
A member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyer, Mr. Johnson was elected an associate member of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court in 2007. He earned his law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Northrup is a shareholder and chair of Cowles & Thompson’s Appellate Practice Group. He practices in both trial and appellate courts in cases involving personal injury, insurance issues, employment law, estate law, and commercial disputes. Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he previously served as a briefing attorney for former Chief Justice Thomas R. Phillips of the Supreme Court of Texas.
Mr. Northrup served as the chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Appellate Law Section in 2008, and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. He earned his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M.
