Universal Programmer For Device Testing

Toronto, Canada -GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has launched its compact universal programmer for a range of devices including programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. It is used to test EPROMs, TTL/CMOS logic IC devices and dynamic or static access memory devices. The universal programmer supports 43000+ devices to meet different needs for device programming or IC testing. In auto-run mode, the high performance programmer starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion and identifies the manufacturer and type of (E)PROMs, TTL/CMOS or logic IC automatically.
This compact universal programmer, model VP990, conducts device insertion poor pin contact check and manages the 16/32bit word split under Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems. It offers optional universal DIP, PLCC, QFR, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters but requires no external adapter for most devices. The programmer can be connected to a computer via USB port for high-speed programming. It supports standard file formats including JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS) and INTEL HEX16, and supports most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, OrCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. This programmer boasts test vector capability, a multi-array fuse map editor and a 48-pin ZIF socket with universal pin-drivers. It provides optimum programming for each individual device. Additionally, it offers eight languages including English, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Korean, Polish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
