June 4, 2012 — Vinson & Elkins LLP announced today it has named nine new counsel. The promotions include attorneys across seven offices representing the finance, mergers & acquisitions/private equity, capital markets, complex commercial litigation, energy regulatory, and energy transactions/projects practice groups.

The new counsels are:
Jane Desnoyers, Finance, London – Represents lenders and borrowers on a wide range of cross-border finance transactions, including acquisition finance, structured finance, and general syndicated lending; particular experience in structured real estate finance as well as acquisition and financing of loan portfolios
Daniel Jude Kelly, Complex Commercial Litigation, Dallas – Focuses on a combination of general business litigation, including securities, class action, breach of contract and fraud, energy/regulatory matters, condemnation and land use, and media litigation
Katherine C. Kim, Complex Commercial Litigation, San Francisco – Counsels corporations and individuals in criminal and internal investigations involving the Department of Justice and other governmental agencies, including health care fraud, environmental, and other white collar crimes
Daniel Nossa, Finance, Austin – Represents issuers, underwriters, and derivative counterparties on an array of derivative and structured finance products; provides regulatory advice to derivative dealers and end users in the energy industry
Nitin Sathe, M&A/Private Equity, Washington – Focuses on domestic and international business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development, with an emphasis in energy transactions and projects
Tab R. Urbantke, Energy Regulatory, Dallas – Represents regulated electric and gas utilities, competitive energy companies, and other entities in the electric power and gas industry in state and federal regulatory compliance and public policy matters, including rate proceedings, legislative advocacy, and transactions
Holly Warrington, Energy Transactions/Projects, Beijing – Focuses on international business transactions with emphasis on multinational mergers and acquisitions; has experience with a diverse range of clients on transactions in multiple countries around the globe
Andi Yorio, Capital Markets, Houston – Counsels publicly traded corporations on corporate governance and compliance and related disclosure matters; has experience in securities offering, M&A, and private equity fund formation representation
Li Zhaohui, Energy Transactions/Projects, Beijing – Advises on international business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, project finance, and antitrust filings
