WASHINGTON, D.C., July 19, 2007 — LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – Winston & Strawn LLP announced today that Joyce L. Bartoo has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as of counsel. Bartoo focuses her practice on antitrust, litigation and administrative/regulatory matters.

For the past 13 years, Bartoo served as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions and leading investigations of alleged monopolization and collusion in industries such as entertainment and publishing, telecommunications, e-commerce, computers, computerized services and finance. She joins partners Michael Sibarium, former advisor to a Federal Trade Commissioner, and Jay Levine in the firm’s expanding antitrust practice in Washington, D.C.

Bartoo earned her juris doctor, with high honors, from the George Washington University Law School where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and The George Washington Law Review, and her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland.
