WASHINGTON, DC (October 5) – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Mark Levy has been appointed by Chief Justice John Roberts to serve a second term on the Judicial Conference Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (Committee). As a member of the Committee, he will serve another three-year term. Chief Justice Rehnquist originally appointed Mr. Levy to the Advisory Committee in 2003. The Committee meets twice a year to consider changes to the federal appellate rules.

In January 2004, Mr. Levy joined the Washington office of Kilpatrick Stockton where he is the director of the firm’s appellate advocacy group. He has argued 15 cases in the Supreme Court of the United States and has been involved in well over 100 cases on the merits before the Court. Mr. Levy has also published several articles on substantive and procedural issues concerning the Supreme Court, and writes a regular column on appellate litigation for the National Law Journal. In addition, he has been listed in various publications such as Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, The Best Lawyers in America (Appellate), The Best Lawyers in Washington, D.C. (Appellate), and Who’s Who Legal: USA – Commercial Litigation.
