WASHINGTON—June 15, 2006— Arent has been awarded the Vincent E. Reed Award by the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs for its achievements in the public education arena.
The award was based on the firm’s relationship with and support of the Randle Highlands Elementary School in Southeast Washington. Volunteers from the firm have spent many hours assisting pupils through intensive reading programs and assisting parents through workshops on relevant legal issues. Arent Fox volunteers recently assisted and helped judge a GeoPlunge Geography Tournament. The popular educational game was created by Arent Fox partner Alan Fishel.
