WASHINGTON, October 11, 2004 LAWFUEL – Law, law firm, attorney, legal news–Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that Garret Rasmussen has joined Orrick as an antitrust and litigation partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Previously, Rasmussen was a partner at Patton Boggs LLP, where he led that firm’s antitrust practice.

Rasmussen is the second high-profile litigator in two weeks—and the second Patton Boggs partner in a year—to join Orrick’s Washington, D.C., office, which has been aggressively growing its litigation practice. Earlier this month, the firm announced the arrival of partner James Meyers, who previously had been Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Partner Lanny Davis, who served as White House Special Counsel to President Clinton, joined the firm’s D.C. office from Patton Boggs in October of last year.
