WINSTON-SALEM (April 20) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today the addition of James Averitt to the firm’s Corporate Department. Mr. Averitt is joining the firm’s Winston-Salem office as an associate. This news comes after the firm announced in February that Partner Randy Eaddy joined the Winston-Salem Corporate Department after practicing in the firm’s Atlanta office.
Mr. Averitt will bring depth and expertise to the office’s growing Corporate Department. His practice will focus on transactions involving licensing agreements, mergers & acquisitions, and securities. He joins Kilpatrick Stockton with legal experience in providing general corporate advice to a large commercial real estate development company. Mr. Averitt has also provided Sarbanes-Oxley assurance and advisory services for a leading wireless telecommunications company. He received his B.S. from Auburn University and his J.D. from the University of Alabama Law School.
