WINSTON-SALEM (August 30) – LAWFUEL – Legal News Network – Kilpatrick Stockton’s Winston-Salem office announced today its collection of over 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for children at Cook Elementary School. The backpacks contained notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, rulers, glue sticks and folders. The firm hopes this will ensure a positive start to the school year for the students.
In June, the Winston-Salem office collected approximately 200 books for students at the school to encourage them to read during the summer, and throughout the holiday season office volunteers delivered stockings filled with treats to the students.
For several years Kilpatrick Stockton’s Winston-Salem office has also provided volunteers through the Victory in Partnership program in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce. The Victory in Partnership program focuses on improving the performance of targeted kindergarten and first grade students in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System so that each tutored child will be at or above grade level by the end of the school year.
