19 November 2004 – LAWFUEL – Law, legal, law firm news – Allen & Overy has advised BT Telecommunications plc on its $965 million agreement to acquire California-based Infonet Services Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of international managed voice and data network services.
The deal is subject to stockholder approval and regulatory clearances and is expected to close in the first half of 2005.
New York-based partner Eric Shube and London-based U.S. corporate partner Paul Burns led the Allen & Overy team together with UK Communications, Media and Technology partner Ian Ferguson. New York-based partner Henry Morgenbesser advised on employment and incentives aspects. They were assisted by U.S.-based associates Mark Robilotti, Sean Hayes and Marina Casani and London-based associates Bronwen Jones and Charles Farnsworth. The BT legal team was led by Nigel Paterson and Timothy Cowen.
