LawFuel.com – Law News, Law Jobs – Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx is being sued for allegedly failing to pay a stylist for work she did for him.
Stacy Young claims that she dressed Foxx for the BET Awards and is due $2,850 a day. The actor allegedly failed to pay the full account.
A stylist is suing Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx for allegedly failing to pay her for work she did in dressing him for an awards show and movie junket.
Young says she was hired to work with Foxx for the BET Awards at a rate of $2,850 a day, as well as for “Miami Vice” press junkets at a rate of $3000 a day.
In July, Young again styled Foxx for press junkets for the film “Miami Vice.” Under that agreement, Young was to be paid $3,000 a day and reimbursed for miscellaneous costs.
“(Foxx) breached their obligations under the agreements by, among other things, failing to pay plaintiff in full, for the services plaintiff rendered and, in the case of the Miami Vice Agreement, failing to reimburse plaintiff for certain costs,” according to the lawsuit.
