August 5th Application Deadline Is Fast-Approaching

BALTIMORE, MD, June 30, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The deadline is fast-approaching for nonprofit organizations interested in applying for the annual community grants program offered by the law firm of Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver (Ober|Kaler).

Named in honor of its former chair John C. Baldwin, Ober|Kaler has launched its annual John Chandler Baldwin Community Grants Program, a $35,000 grants program to aid nonprofit organizations serving the Baltimore City and Washington, D.C. areas.

One $15,000 and two $10,000 grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations with programs focused on enriching the lives of underprivileged children, improving living standards for lower income families with children, and creating educational opportunities for at-risk youth.

Grant applications and guidelines are available now at www.ober.com. All organizations applying
for assistance must be certified by the Internal Revenue Service as not-for-profit 501 (c)(3)
organizations. Completed applications must be received by Friday, August 5, 2005.
