Donald Trump's Ethics Violation an Issue From Day One, Says Lawyer 3

Donald Trump is in ethical trouble from Day One of his presidency according to Obama’s former White House ethics lawyer Norm Eisen, who says the President-Elect needs to divest himself o his business interests to avoid constitutional conflict.

others have made a similar point with the Wall Street Journal saying the same and even Bill Clinton, who has been the target of so much controversy himself regarding ethical and sexual issues, divested himself of his interests, which of course were not the globe-girdling assets possessed by Donald Trump.

Eisen told George Stephanopoulos on ABC: “The Constitution” has something called The Emoluments Clause. That’s just a fancy, 18th century word for no foreign government payments. And Donald Trump is collecting foreign government payments and other benefits throughout his business.”

Article 1 Sec. 9 Clause 8  of the Constitution states, “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
