Five Attorneys Chosen By Peers As Best In Practice

LOS ANGELES – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that four partners and one of counsel have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2007®.

The attorneys named and their primary practices as classified by Best Lawyers are: Lowell C. Brown, health care; Carole E. Handler, intellectual property; Pamela L. Johnston, white-collar criminal defense; Richard F. Seiden, health care; and Carl I. Weissburg, health care.

The 2007 edition is the 13th edition of the Best Lawyers in America®. Best Lawyers is based on peer-review surveys in which attorneys throughout the country cast nearly a half-million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”

Lawyers were selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review that has been developed and refined for nearly 25 years. Lawyers are not allowed to pay a fee to be listed. Best Lawyers publishes an advertisement-free book each year to honor all those chosen – something that no other survey does. The current edition of Best Lawyers is based on 1.9 million confidential evaluations by only the top attorneys in the country. Best Lawyers also conducts thousands of extensive telephone interviews with leading attorneys throughout its balloting process.
