Jeb Bush was destined for the presidency until Donald Trump put paid to those dreams – however he now has plans to enter the daily fantasty sports industry with a report that he will act as a ‘strategic consultant’ to a law firm.
Lawyers Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, headquartered in Pittsburgh and with a strong lobbying background, also represent fantasy sports players DraftKings and FanDuel.
The fantasy sports entry fee is expected to reach over $5 billion this coming year.
Buchanan has apparently also lobbied on behalf of Turing Pharmaceuticals, formerly headed by Martin Shkreli, In 2015 and 2016.
“There are very few people that have the breadth of experience that Gov. Bush has, both in the public and private sector,” Buchanan CEO Joseph Dougherty said in a press release about the appointment. “We believe his insight will be a tremendous asset to our attorneys and clients.”
And Jeb Bush was also reported on the position: “I believe that putting my knowledge and experience together with Buchanan’s professional acumen will help Buchanan’s clients grow and prosper.”
