LAWFUEL – A lawsuit over a horse has landed rock star Bruce Springsteen in court.
The lawsuit, for $850,000 by a man who claims he backed out of a contract to buy a horse. Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa are both named in legal documents filed in Florida by Todd Minikus.
He claims the couple pulled out of a deal to pay $650,000 for the horse, named Pavarotti, and give him their horse, Scarlett.
A representative for Springsteen said she had no information about the case.
According to court papers, the rock star and his wife planned to buy the horse for their teenage daughter.
A $25,000 deposit was paid, and a veterinarian examined the animal before they signed a contract.
