December 20 2004 – LAWFUEL – First with law news – Fenwick & West LLP represented its client Cisco Systems, Inc. in its announced acquisition of Protego Networks, Inc., a provider of security monitoring and threat management appliances used in enterprise and small-to-medium business networks. Cisco will pay approximately $65 million in cash for Protego. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, and is expected to close in the second quarter of Cisco’s 2005 fiscal year.
