DENVER – April 30, 2005 – Joseph F. Bermudez recently joined Cozen O’Connor’s Denver office as a member of the insurance litigation department and Christopher S. Clemenson joined as an associate in the department. Prior to joining the firm, both practiced at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP, concentrating in insurance coverage litigation.
Joseph F. Bermudez focuses his practice on representing domestic and foreign insurance companies and underwriters with regard to matters involving construction defects, environmental disputes, bad faith claims, products liability, employment practices, toxic torts, intellectual property disputes and complex commercial disputes. A resident of Denver, Bermudez earned his undergraduate degree from Boston University (B.A., 1985) and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1988). He is admitted to practice in Colorado, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C.
Christopher S. Clemenson represents insurance companies in coverage matters and bad faith litigation involving construction defects, personal and advertising liability claims, first-party property insurance claims and environmental coverage matters. He previously practiced law in Seattle, concentrating on insurance coverage, complex commercial litigation and construction defect litigation matters. A resident of Highlands Ranch, Co., Clemenson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Denver (B.S., magna cum laude, 1993) and his law degree from the University of Washington, School of Law (J.D., 1997). He is admitted to practice in Washington State and Colorado in both state and federal court.
