Dominic Tsun joined the Hong Kong office of Skadden, Arps on November 1 as a partner. Dominic joins Nick Norris (who arrived at the firm in July 2005) as the second partner in the firm’s recently established Hong Kong law corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions practice.

Dominic has been based in Hong Kong since 1994 and was most recently a partner at Linklaters, where he played a leading role in advising on a range of capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions. His experience includes extensive participation in some of the largest and most innovative transactions to take place in Hong Kong. Highlights from his experience include the representation of PetroChina Company Limited in respect of its US$2.88 billion global offering and dual listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange; and of the underwriters (led by Bank of China International, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Morgan Stanley) in the US$1.84 billion global offering and Hong Kong listing of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Limited. In 2004, he represented the manager of the REIT in the proposed initial public offering of The Link Real Estate Investment Trust, as well as Bank of Communications Co,. Ltd in its recently completed US$1.9 billion global offering and Hong Kong listing.

Dominic, who is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales and as an attorney in New York, is trilingual in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is recognized as a leading lawyer for capital markets in Chambers Global: 2004-2005.
