Houston, TX, May 3, 2004 – Baker & McKenzie has further strengthened its
International Private Banking Practice with the addition of prominent international
tax attorney Robert Colvin as a Partner in its Houston office. Colvin joins the
Firm from Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Martin and brings over 17 years
of international tax and private client experience.

Colvin will continue to focus his practice on international business, tax and estate
planning, including trusts and wealth accumulation strategies for private clients.
He also brings a particularly well-recognized expertise in international private
placement insurance planning that will build upon the firm’s extensive insurance and
private banking practices. Colvin will help expand the Firm’s international private
client practice catering to business entities, insurance brokers, investment fund
managers, high net worth individuals, and financial institutions involved in the
private banking, estate planning, and wealth management sectors.

Colvin previously managed complex projects for high net worth private clients,
including their personal and business interests, at Chamberlain Hrdlicka in Houston.
He began his professional career in the International Tax Group of KPMG Peat
Marwick. Colvin also served for two years as President of an international insurance
consulting group, during which time he continued practicing with Chamberlain
Hrdlicka as Of Counsel.

Robert Colvin received both a JD and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of
Houston Law Center. He earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting
from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. He is admitted to practice law
in Texas, as well as in Washington, D.C. and Colorado.
