July 22, 2005 (Mountain View and San Francisco, CA) – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Fenwick & West LLP represented Siliquent Technologies, Inc. in its recently announced acquisition by Broadcom Corporation (Nasdaq: BRCM). Siliquent Technologies is a privately-held developer of Ethernet Processing Units (EPU) for high performance storage and computing over a ubiquitous Ethernet infrastructure. Broadcom will pay approximately $76 million in cash for Siliquent Technologies. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, and is expected to close in the third quarter of Broadcom’s fiscal year 2005 ending September 30, 2005.
