DETAILS:

Kilpatrick Stockton, with over 500 attorneys in nine offices across globe, is pleased to continue to offer the James S. Dockery Scholarship to deserving minority students at the Wake Forest University School of Law based on undergraduate merit and activities. The scholarship is given to one first-, second-, and third-year law school student to help defray the costs of tuition, etc. In 2007, the firm added a summer clerkship offer to the first-year scholarship recipient. This provides the first-year student with the guaranteed opportunity to work with Kilpatrick Stockton for the summer. The scholarship is named for late James (Jim) Dockery, a former Kilpatrick Stockton partner, who was active in recruiting for the firm, a leader in the community, and also served as an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University School of Law.

Now in its 13th year, Kilpatrick Stockton has awarded more than $100,000 to 14 students through the James S. Dockery Scholarship program. The firm has hired Dockery Scholars Corena Norris-McCluney and Tywanda Lord Harris, both of whom are senior associates in the firm’s Winston-Salem and Atlanta offices, respectively.
