Clyde Parker, Jr., shareholder in The Woodlands office of Winstead PC, has been named chairman of the board of The South Montgomery County Woodlands Economic Development Partnership (“EDP”). Parker previously served as vice chairman of the board. The EDP promotes the economic development of South Montgomery County and The Woodlands by supporting existing businesses and assisting new businesses relocating to the area.
Parker is a member of Winstead’s Executive Committee and head of the Corporate, Securities/Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group for The Woodlands Winstead office. His practice involves a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity securities offerings, and financial and corporate counseling to public and private companies on various corporate and securities matters. Parker’s clients include energy and energy services companies, manufacturing companies and technology companies as well as venture funds and entrepreneurs.
A former CPA for nine years, Parker is active as an advisory director to Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. and served as EDP Representative to The Woodlands Governance Steering Committee. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Montgomery County Bar Association and The Woodlands Bar Association. Parker received his J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, and his B.S. from Columbus College.
