LawJobsPipeline.com – Law Jobs Blog – Law Blog Above the Law reports on clerkship bonuses in the US – the largest being from Sullivan & Cromwell and now Simpson Thacher at $50,000. The feeling from ATL is that the bonus boost from S&C (and presumably Simpson’s too) is that they could well face a tough time in the recruitment market this fall/Autumn.
The expectation now is that the competitive recruitment scene will see other major firms fall into line while the boutiques like Kellog Huber and Susman Godfrey are already paying bonuses at that level in some cases while the IP shops can pay $70,000.
