LexisNexis and Harvey just teamed up. This is big news for legal pros who want smarter tools and faster answers for their legal work.

The deal lets Harvey users tap into LexisNexis’s deep well of US case law, statutes, and Shepard’s® Citations—all inside the Harvey platform. Think of it like adding a turbocharger to your legal research engine. Ask a question in plain English, and get answers backed by real law and solid citations. No more jumping between apps or juggling logins.

Sean Fitzpatrick, CEO of LexisNexis North America, UK, and Ireland, (pictured with Harvey CEO WInston Weinberg) says the goal is simple: “We want to make legal work easier and better.”

Winston Weinberg, Harvey’s CEO, adds that customers trust LexisNexis for top-notch legal content, and now they get it right in Harvey.

The partnership isn’t just about research. They’re cooking up new AI-powered workflows, starting with automated drafting for motions to dismiss and summary judgments. The combination means less grunt work for lawyers and more time for the stuff that matters, like actually winning cases.

Harvey’s already got a who’s who of law firms using its tech, from Macfarlanes to O’Melveny & Myers. With recent funding rounds and a sky-high valuation or $3 billion, it’s clear investors see the future here. And LexisNexis isn’t just a partner—they’re also a backer, having joined Harvey’s Series D round earlier this year.

Across the pond, the German Bar Association just inked its own AI deal with Bryter, showing that AI in law is more than a trend, but the new normal. Meanwhile, European firms are racing to adopt these tools, according to a recent Global Legal Post report.
