Rio de Janeiro, September 27, 2019 – Campos Mello Advogados (CMA) announced the addition of a new partner, Domiciano Noronha de Sá, an attorney specializing in Patent and Life Sciences litigation. Sá comes to CMA with nine other attorneys from his former firm, where he was also a partner. He brings a client portfolio that includes companies from the finance, banking, consumer goods and life sciences industries. His arrival reinforces CMA’s positioning as a full-service firm, always alert to marketplace movements and demands in order to offer even more complete legal solutions.

“This is a new service provided by Campos Mello Advogados. I join the partner team with a mission to structure and grow these areas. Opportunities abound and existing clients have a lot to benefit from,” said Sá. “The Patent and Life Sciences practice has vast aggregative potential – not only with the existing teams, but also due to its synergy with DLA Piper’s global capabilities.”

Campos Mello Advogados works in cooperation with DLA Piper.

Sá has a Law degree from PUC-Rio and an LL.M. from IBMEC. He has worked on highly publicized cases such as lawsuits against the Brazilian sanitary authority (ANVISA), as well as represented large banks and pharmaceutical companies in various cases. Prior to joining CMA, he worked for 12 years at his own law firm.

“Domiciano’s arrival is another step along Campos Mello Advogados’s growth project. In August 2019, we completed our strategic planning for the next five years. The growth goals are challenging and one of the objectives is to expand our qualified service offering, always seeking to better serve our clients,” said Fábio Campos Mello, country managing partner for CMA.

“The addition of Domiciano’s IP litigation practice to CMA supports the global client service approach inherent in the strategic relationship between our firms and further supports our collective growth objectives in Latin America,” said Roger Meltzer, global co-chair and co-chair of the Americas at DLA Piper.
