Milan – DLA Piper is pleased to announce the appointment of employment expert Aldo Calza as partner and Location Head of the Employment, Pensions & Benefits Group in Italy. Aldo will join DLA Piper from independent Italian law firm, Ripa di Meana LC & Associati, on 1 September 2007.

Over the past 16 years, Aldo has advised industrial, commercial and financial entities on a broad range of legal matters related to human resources management, including corporate restructuring, mergers, pensions, stock option plans, industrial relations, equal pay and employment disputes. Aldo started his career working for an independent law firm in Milan in 1991 and went on to open his own practice, which focused on labour and employment law in 1996. In his most recent role Aldo headed the employment department and advised a range of clients in both the public and private sector.

Aldo joins DLA Piper with two assistants, Licia Ioele and Daniela Pelizza. Following their appointment DLA Piper’s offices in Italy will have six Employment, Pensions & Benefits lawyers.

Aldo is 43 years old and has a law degree from the University of Pavia.
