New York, October 3, 2006- Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP today announced the election of Jeffrey L. Braun, Jennifer L. Rochon, Douglas J. Schneller, Terrence L. Shen, and Norman C. Simon as partners and Kevin M. Moss as counsel.

Jeffrey L. Braun, Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental Litigation Partner, focuses on commercial and real estate litigation, with an emphasis on land use and environmental law. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuits, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He is affiliated with the Committee on the Courts of the Second Circuit of the Federal Bar Council and is Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Real Estate Litigation. He was law clerk to the Honorable Harry Pregerson, then with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Jennifer L. Rochon , Litigation Partner, focuses on all aspects of commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in the arbitration context, including jury trials in both state and federal court. She is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to several U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Tenth Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. She received her A.B., with distinction, from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Note and Comment Development Editor for the New York University Law Review. She is affiliated with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Maryanne Trump Barry of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Terrence L. Shen , Corporate Partner, focuses primarily on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. In his experience as a corporate lawyer and previously as an investment banker, Mr. Shen has represented prominent industrial and commercial clients, financial institutions and governmental entities. Mr. Shen received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and John M. Olin Law and Economics Junior Fellow. He is affiliated with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association.

Douglas J. Schneller, Claims Trading and Distressed Investing Advice Partner, is resident in London and supervises the European claims trading and distressed investing advice practice. Mr. Schneller focuses primarily on representing commercial banks, investment banks and hedge funds that invest in distressed situations, such as companies in bankruptcy, and counseling creditors in bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Drew University, his M.A. from Columbia University, and his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was editor of the New York University School of Law Casebook, member of the Moot Court Board Casebook Division and the Order of Barristers. Mr. Schneller is a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before several U.S. District Courts. He is affiliated with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Norman C. Simon, Litigation Partner, works on general litigation matters, with a primary focus on intellectual property (advertising, trademark and copyright) and employment law. Mr. Simon received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law, where he was an articles editor for the Annual Survey of American Law. Mr. Simon is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars and is admitted to practice before several U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is affiliated with the Committee on Pro Bono and Legal Services, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, LeGal and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Simon served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Alan B. Handler of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Kevin M. Moss, Intellectual Property Counsel, focuses his practice on technology, internet and software related transactions and licensing, outsourcing, trademark law, copyright law and intellectual property counseling. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Moss received his B.A. from the University of Missouri at Columbia and his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law where he served as the notes and comments editor on the Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law. His professional affiliations include the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Trademark Association.
