United States and Arizona Reach $1,000,000 Settlement With Onsite Dental Group

PHOENIX – The United States and the State of Arizona, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) reached a settlement with OnSite Dental, a company that provides mobile dental services to Native American schoolchildren at their schools located on tribal lands. The United States and AHCCCS contended that OnSite Dental billed AHCCCS for dental examinations, prophylaxis treatments, fluoride treatments, and nutritional and oral hygiene counseling which OnSite Dental either did not perform or performed below the appropriate standard of care. OnSite Dental agreed to pay $1,000,000 to settle the matter.

The investigation leading to the settlement was conducted by the AHCCCS, Office of Investigation, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General.
