NEW YORK, NY, July 12, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Lowenstein Sandler, a leading law firm with offices in New York and New Jersey, announced today that Bradley Kaufman, a specialist in real estate law, has joined the firm as a Member in the Real Estate practice, resident in the firm’s New York City office. Mr. Kaufman joins the firm from Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he was a partner.
With more than 20 years of experience in corporate real estate law, Mr. Kaufman has represented owners and tenants, both in New York City and nationally, in some of the industry’s largest commercial office and retail leasing transactions, accounting for millions of square feet of real estate.

Michael Rhee, formerly a senior associate in the real estate group at Seyfarth Shaw, will join Mr. Kaufman as Counsel at Lowenstein Sandler. Mr. Rhee represents various real estate owners, developers, investors and companies, as well as golf course operators in a broad range of transactions including leasing, property acquisitions and divestitures, financing and joint ventures.
Mr. Kaufman represents national and international retail tenants in leasing transactions throughout the United States and Canada. He has handled leasing transactions for Europe’s largest retailer in flagship store locations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto. Mr. Kaufman and Mr. Rhee also represent the largest international accounting and consulting firm in major leasing transactions throughout the Eastern United States and Puerto Rico.
As counsel to the landlord of a 1.1 million square foot building in New York City, Mr. Kaufman and Mr. Rhee structured the leasing of over 500,000 square feet of vacant space in less than four months.
Mr. Kaufman has authored several book and leasing manual chapters, including the 2003 ALI-ABA Lease Negotiation Handbook and the Retail Leases chapter of the 2004 NYSBA Commercial Leasing Handbook. He serves as Co-Chair of the Commercial Leasing Committee of the Real Property Law Section, NY State Bar Association.
Mr. Kaufman received his A.B. from Hamilton College and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
Mr. Rhee received his B.S. from Cornell University and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was an Articles and Notes Editor for the St. John’s Law Review.
