High Profile Boies Schiller Opens in London

Natasha Harrison opens Boies office

Natasha Harrison opens Boies officeThe high profile litigation firm Boies Schiller & Flexner is starting its first office outside of the US with a London opening.

And handling the new office’s management will be the former Bingham partner Natasha Harrison, who has been with Binghams as a litigator since 2004.  She rose to prominence in the City with the collapse of the Icelandic banks.  Boies Schiller advise such high profile clients as Goldman Sachs and Barclays on litigation and investment banking issues.

In a statement, Boies Schiller co-founder Jonathan Schiller said: “We are pleased to welcome Natasha Harrison as our new partner. Natasha is a distinguished English lawyer, with a leading practice in finance litigation and arbitration, areas in which our firm’s works is increasing globally each year. She will be the managing partner in our London office and joins our talented partnership in addressing clients’ most critical issues around the world.”

The move is something of a change for the firm, with the firm earlier indicating they were happy with their existing international position.

But the London opening indicates that the firm sees some major opportunities with its major clients and, presumably, new work as well that will easily complement its busy US offices.
