Another under-the-radar influencer who commands respect and influence within the so-called Wellington beltway. A legal adviser to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) she has been a key adviser to the Prime Minister on a variety of issues that have characterised the Prime Minister’s Prime Ministership.
The DPMC is a mid-sized government agency, with under 300 staff, but with a powerful role advising government on a variety of matters, including advising on COVID-19 strategies.
Her career as a lawyer in the public service has also included roles with Crown Law, the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Justice, serves as a member of the Legislation Advisory and Design Committee .
