LONDON – LAWFUEL- Allen & Overy LLP today announces 32 promotions to partner effective 1 May 2007; the second year in a row that A&O has promoted over 30 people to partner after last year’s record 33 promotions. Continuing Allen & Overy’s dedication to international growth, this year 63% of the appointments are in offices outside London. The new partners work in offices in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States and across 7 different practice areas.

Allen & Overy today also announced the first 17 London promotions to counsel roles. The counsel role (announced 12 October 2006) provides an alternative option to partnership for associates and market leading career development to non fee earners.
