Morrison & Foerster Receives IFLR Americas Awards

NEW YORK, April 4, 2008 – LAWFUEL – Morrison & Foerster LLP is pleased to announce that the firm was honored with two awards at the International Financial Law Review annual Americas Awards.

Morrison & Foerster was awarded for its work in the “Securitization Deal of the Year.” The award honors the firm for its representation of the arrangers and dealers in connection with the establishment of a covered bond issuance program and the first issuance from that program of U.S. dollar-denominated covered bonds. The transaction was the first dollar-denominated covered bond issuance in the United States by a U.S. depositary institution. The firm’s capital markets group also was honored as the “Securitization Team of the Year” for its U.S. and international securities and tax work in the covered bonds, securitisation and structured products areas.
