Solomon Hunter, Jr. has joined the firm as of counsel in the Corporate and
Securities Practice Group in the Philadelphia office. Mr. Hunter
concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures,
start-up and venture capital financings, and private equity transactions.

In particular, Mr. Hunter has experience dealing with legal and business
issues confronting companies of various sizes and stages of development in a
number of industries, including life sciences, technology, equipment
manufacturing and water services. He has managed a broad range of major
transactions for these entities, including acquisitions, dispositions,
licensing arrangements, private placements and strategic alliances.
Mr. Hunter joins Pepper from Dechert LLP in Philadelphia. Before attending
law school, he held a variety of sales and marketing positions with IBM.
Mr. Hunter received his B.S. in 1981 from the University of Tennessee, an
M.B.A. in 1984 from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. in 1995 from
the Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in
Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Mr. Hunter is a member of the advisory board of the Rock Ethics Institute of
Pennsylvania State University and the board of directors of Penn State’s
Smeal College of Business alumni society.
