To keep ahead of the pace of economic globalization and the expansion of business in the Greater China Region (which includes the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Shaw Pittman extended its global platform in Litigation and Intellectual Property and announced plans for new offices in Taipei and Northern California in April of this year.

Yitai Hu joined Shaw Pittman in April as a lateral partner to establish Shaw Pittman’s physical footprint in the Greater China Region and to head Shaw Pittman’s Taipei office. Shaw Pittman also established a new West Coast presence, this one in Northern California, to support the firm’s IP litigation, corporate and technology practices. The firm already has offices in New York, Virginia, Washington and London.
