Which Law Firm is UK's Most Active Online Marketer

Law firm marketing online is becoming more essential for lawyers and now the UK is measuring the effectiveness of law firm social media marketing with content marketing company Passle saying Irwin Mitchell is the most active firm publishing articles and blogs online.

The Lawyer reports that research carried out by content marketing platform Passle said that Irwin Mitchell was the most active firm when it came to publishing articles and blogs online, and also had the most Twitter followers of any UK law firm.

But Taylor Wessing was the firm which had produced the most tweets in 2014, according to the research.

Eversheds, DWF, Taylor Wessing and Bird & Bird followed Irwin Mitchell in the top five most successful online firms.

However the top 50 firms collectively are still struggling to make their mark when it comes to social media. Collectively they have fewer than 200,000 Twitter followers, and produced around 15,000 online articles during the year – or only 0.35 per lawyer.

Of the top 200 firms, Stephensons was the highest-ranked firm overall across the seven criteria applied.

Meanwhile a separate survey carried out by digital marketing company Equal to 3 found that almost half of firms think their social media activity is ineffective in supporting business development.

Almost half (45 per cent) of nearly 70 firms surveyed said their websites did not enhance services to clients, while 65 per cent of respondents said their websites were primarily used to communicate services, partners and office details.
