Chicago – LAWFUEL – Law Firm News – Sidley Austin LLP announced today that Adrienne B. Pitts has joined as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice in the Chicago office. Her practice will focus principally on complex commercial litigation, antitrust litigation, and white collar defense matters.
Ms. Pitts has extensive federal and state trial and litigation experience involving antitrust, securities, tax fraud, health care fraud, bank fraud, breach of contract and consumer fraud. She has also counseled clients through several federal grand jury investigations. Ms. Pitts’ clients include Fortune 100 companies as well as individuals, and she was recently one of the trial attorneys who defended former Illinois governor George Ryan in his seven-month federal corruption trial.

Ms. Pitts received her J.D., with honors, from Boston University School of Law in 1995 and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She is extremely active in the legal and Chicago communities and has served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms since 1997. Ms. Pitts served as its Chairperson from 2001-2003. She is also Vice President of the Board of Directors for L.E.A.R.N. Charter School.
