CHICAGO, Sept. 20 LAWFUEL – Legal News Network — John N. Maher joins Epstein Becker &
Green, P.C.’s Chicago office as a member of the firm in the National
Litigation practice with a focus on White Collar Criminal Defense,
Government Contracts and Health Law. He brings over 10 years of experience in litigating criminal and complex commercial matters before state and
federal courts throughout the country.
“Mr. Maher brings a talented legal mind to our group, and will be a

Maher has extensive trial and appellate experience and has delivered
oral arguments before various federal courts of appeal, many of which have resulted in published decisions.
Prior to joining EBG, Maher was a commercial litigator with Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw, LLP. Before that, he served as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C., concentrating on
government contracts, international trade, and federal labor / employment.
Drawing upon his experience as a former prosecutor and Justice
Department attorney, Maher represents clients in a wide range of industries and practice areas, including defense contractors in government contract
and procurement disputes, corporations involving government investigations, software companies in securities fraud class actions, and
telecommunications providers in breach of contract suits.
While serving with the 1st Infantry Division in Germany, Maher
coordinated investigations and prosecuted felony trials. As the principal
attorney for a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Skopje, Macedonia,
Maher advised senior military leaders on all legal aspects of the mission.
In both Europe and the United States, Maher was an assistant professor of aviation law for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has developed several courses for the University, and has taught in Germany, Virginia,
Andrews Air Force Base, and Chicago. Maher continues to serve as a Major in the United States Army Reserves.
