Daily Journal Honors Nancy T. Scull as one of California’s Top Women Attorneys

11 May 2011 – Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, a prominent California law firm, today announced partner Nancy Scull was recently recognized by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal as one of the Top Women Attorneys in California.

Scull, who is a partner in Luce Forward’s real estate transactional practice, is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Her clients include some of the nation’s largest commercial and residential developers, and she has been lead counsel for complex hotel, retail, residential and mixed-use projects located within California. Because of her expertise in mixed-use developments, Scull has also advised clients in other states on setting up their mixed-use projects. In addition, she has represented lenders and purchasers of troubled residential and mixed-use properties.

Some of Scull’s most recent and notable projects include developing the governance for Civita, a master planned community in San Diego; and Pacific Station, an infill mixed-use project in Encinitas, Calif. She also created the governance structure for The Hotel and Residences at L.A. Live, a high-rise story mixed-use building consisting of a J.W. Marriott, a Ritz Carlton, and 224 luxury residential condominiums located within the dynamic and evolving L.A. Live project in downtown Los Angeles.

In addition to her practice, Scull is also heavily involved in Luce Forward’s Women’s Initiative (WI) Program. The firm’s WI program is aimed toward fostering business and leadership development of women attorneys within the firm and the profession through education, networking, mentoring and creating a rewarding and meaningful work environment. Scull is also an Executive Committee member of the Downtown San Diego Partnership and a member of the Center City Development Corporation’s Educational Task Force.
