LAWFUEL – Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, now has a legal voice to speak for her in the legal controversy that swirls around her, following the death of Anna Nicole on February 8.
Attorney Richard C Milstein has been appointed guardian ad litem for the baby, who is five months old.
Broward County Circuit Court Judge Larry Seidlin appointed Milstein to act in the best interest of the child. In his work in family law, Milstein, from the law firm of Akerman Senterfitt, has represented children in disputed relationships, and has performed thousands of hours of pro bono work, according to the firm.
Further complicating Smith’s estate, the 39-year-old celebrity had named her son, Daniel Smith, as heir in her will. However, he passed away in September, reportedly from a combination of Lexapro, Zoloft and Methadone, while visiting his mother at the maternity ward three days after she gave birth to Dannielynn.
