(NEW YORK, August 7, 2006)- LAWFUEL – Legal News Network -Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Paul A. Gajer has been named chair of its Corporate Practice Group. Gajer, who has been with Sonnenschein since 2002, succeeds Michael Froy who will return to his practice full-time.

“During his years at the helm, Mike led our corporate practice with distinction,” said Duane C. Quaini, Sonnenschein chairman. “Paul has already served as head of the New York corporate group and we now look forward to having him spearhead the continued growth of the firm’s largest transactional practice on a national level.”

Gajer represents a number of private equity, buy-out and venture capital funds in all aspects of their business. His work focuses on structuring investment, buy-out and disposition transactions, and the related senior and mezzanine financing aspects of such transactions, as well as fund formation. Gajer has practiced corporate and securities law for more than 25 years. During that time, he has represented a variety of cable television, cellular telephone and technology clients in merger, acquisition, financing and reorganization transactions.

“Mike has done a tremendous job leading our corporate practice,” said Gajer. “I am eager to continue to grow the group so we can expand the services we offer to our clients.”

Gajer received a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
