The British press and movie star Hugh Grant were jointly in the news for Grant’s arrest by British Police over allegedly throwing a can of baked beans at a photographer.
Fresh from allegations that the paparazzi were partly behind the break-up of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship, the role of the press has again arisen as the star, who was irked by a photographer,
reportedly reacted by first assaulting the photographer verbally and physically, and then grabbing the can of baked beans and throwing it at him.
The incident apparently occurred near Hugh Grant’s home.
Photographer Ian Whittaker claims he simply asked to take a picture of the actor while Hugh grant was out jogging. He says Hugh Grant became angry and began chasing Whittaker down the street.
Hugh Grant first faced bad publicity when he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute several years earlier, but had since gone on to star in several successful movies, such as Love Actually and Bridget Jones’ Diary.List your legal jobs on the LawFuel Network
