The jury’s first note merely asked for a delay in hearing a read-back of testimony, telling Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Michael Obus it didn’t want to be interrupted.
“We would like to push the read-back to after lunch as we are presently making progress on another issue and are reluctant to interrupt the process,” according to a jury note to Obus.
In the second note, the jury asked the judge to “indulge us with more time.”
“We are purposefully unspecific as we are attempting to work through this portion of the process,” according to the jury’s note to Obus after the lunch break. “With your kind permission, we would like to let you know when we are ready — hopefully today.”
The jury is in its sixth day of deliberations.
