UHF RFID Tag for Embedding into the Tire Mould

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released an UHF RFID Tire tag operating in the frequency band of 860 to 950MHz. The tag has been tested under the most difficult conditions in Nascar racing cars and also can be built into truck tires that can be recapped several times. It is designed to be embedded into the tire mould prior to the manufacture and curing of the tire.
This lightweight RFID tire tag, model 116042, survives the high temperatures encountered in the tire curing process and is sturdy enough to remain operational throughout the life of the tire. It complies with ISO 16000-6C or EPC class 1 Gen 2 standards. The RFID tag can be both read and written to at distances up to 1m (3ft) when embedded into the tire. It features a flexible construction to withstand tire deformation. The practical tire tag has a unique factory pre-programmed tag identification number to prevent cloning. It provides memory organizations containing a 96-bit programmable EPC number and 192bit user memory with lock capability.
